An Inauguration Day, that’s what today is.

We have our new President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.

We have our First Madam Vice President, Kamala Harris. Our first African American, Asian American Woman Vice President, to be EXACT.

Of course this is a different kind of Inauguration Day for the United States.

An Inauguration Day during a Pandemic.

I look back throughout my life and this is my 8th Inauguration I’ve witnessed take place and this is definitely a different one. With Covid-19 being present in the manner that it is, everyone is wearing masks, they are spaced out and the amount of people present is only at 1/20th of what it would normally be. There are security measures in place due to prior terrorist events that occurred at the capital back on January 6th, 2021. It’s definitely a different kind of day.

All that matters though is, this is History taking place.

Witnessing a Madam Vice President take office is amazing, no matter what else is going on, this is changing the perspective for not only woman and girls but for everyone.
