This past week was probably the most active I’ve been since my ACL surgery, and honestly, I’m proud of myself.
I traveled to California and spent the week constantly moving.
I walked through Olvera Street on Cinco de Mayo, explored the Fashion District, Rodeo Drive, and Beverly Hills, danced all night at a wedding, spent a beach day in Malibu and Santa Monica, and even survived Disneyland levels of walking 😭💪🏽
My Apple Watch step counts this week were no joke:
10K… 13K… 12K… and almost 16.5K steps in one day.
And let me tell you… my legs are FEELING IT 😂
There were moments where I had to listen to my body, slow down, and even use a pain patch before Disneyland because I knew it would be a lot of walking.
But the biggest thing I realized this week is just how far I’ve come.
A year ago, some of this probably would’ve felt impossible after surgery.
Now? I’m traveling, walking, dancing, exploring, and living life again.
Today I’m resting my legs because they are definitely fatigued, but this kind of soreness feels different.
It feels earned.
