Yesterday was my birthday, and I can honestly say it was a beautiful one from start to finish.
The celebration actually started Saturday evening with a birthday dinner surrounded by family and friends at Roasted Nashville. There is something special about gathering with the people you love most, sharing laughs, good food, and creating memories that will last long after the night ends.
Since we were out pretty late celebrating, I gave myself permission to sleep in on my actual birthday, which felt like a gift all by itself! Sometimes the best way to start a new year of life is with a little extra rest.
The rest of the day was spent exactly how I wanted it: with my husband and our kids. We enjoyed a wonderful meal together at STK Steakhouse Nashville and simply enjoyed each other’s company. The kids surprised me with balloons, cards, and gift cards, and those thoughtful little gestures made my heart so full.
As I reflect on this past year, I feel incredibly grateful. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, accomplishments, challenges, and blessings. I’ve pushed myself outside of my comfort zone, set goals, achieved things I once only talked about doing, and learned a lot about who I am along the way.
Birthdays have a way of reminding us to pause and appreciate the journey. Yesterday was a reminder of just how blessed I am to be surrounded by people who love and support me.
To everyone who called, texted, posted, messaged, sent cards, or simply took a moment to wish me a happy birthday, thank you. Your kindness meant more than you know.
Here’s to another year of growth, gratitude, adventures, and making memories with the people I love most.
