Today was proof of how far I’ve come.
After warming up with a lap around my floor, I hit the stairs and timed myself.
It took me 2 minutes and 51 seconds to go from floor 9 down to floor 1.
Then I climbed from floor 1 all the way to floor 20 in 14 minutes and 3 seconds.
After that, I walked back down to floor 9.
Total stair time: 19 minutes and 31 seconds.
I got tired.
I got sweaty.
But I kept going.
And I did it.
What makes this moment even bigger is realizing I’m about a year and a half post-op from ACL surgery.
To think about where I started… and where I am now… is incredible.
I’m stronger.
I’m breathing better.
I’m building endurance.
And most importantly, I’m proving to myself that I can do hard things.
I DID IT.
And I’m still climbing.
